The Durutti Column’s ‘Time Was Gigantic… When We Were Kids’ Set For Reissue

The album has been remastered especially for the new release

The Durutti Column’s 1998 album Time Was Gigantic… When We Were Kids is to be reissued to mark 25 years since its original release.

Set for release in June, the album has been remastered especially for the new edition, and will also feature five rare bonus tracks. The reissue will be available across digital, CD and double vinyl formats, marking the first time it has officially been pressed on vinyl. You can watch a new visualiser, by Australian visual artist and designer Jonathan Zawada, for the album track ‘Pigeon’ above.

Originally released via Tony Wilson’s Factory Records offshoot Factory Too, Time Was Gigantic… When We Were Kids takes in elements of jazz and folk, as well as found sound and electronics. Frontman Vini Reilly’s vocals only appear on two cuts on the record, with singer and writer Eley Rudge contributing vocals to a number of the other tracks.

London Records will release Time Was Gigantic… When We Were Kids on June 30, 2023.
