The Smiths’ Record Store Day release features an anti-Trump message inscribed in the run-out groove of the vinyl.
The message simply says "Trump will kill America" and was discovered by fans who purchased the 7" record on Saturday. It was available only to customers in the UK for Record Store Day and features two tracks – a demo mix of The Boy With The Thorn In His Side and an early studio-recorded version of ‘Rubber Ring’.
Morrissey has hinted at his opposition to Trump on a number of occasions including making a comparison between the current US president and former presidential candidate George Wallace who famously declared his support for segregation.
