Ian MacKaye At New Glasgow Festival

Fugazi frontman to answer questions as part of film screening

Ian MacKaye will be taking part in a Q&A at Restless Natives Festival in Glasgow next month.

The Fugazi frontman will answer questions via Skype from a radio station in Washington, following a screening of Instrument, a 1999 collaboration between New York-based filmmaker Jem Cohen and the band which documents them in live performances and interviews.

The screening is scheduled for 7:30pm on Thursday, May 12 at the African and Caribbean Centre as part of the festival. Tickets are available at the <a href=” http://tickets-scotland.com/rest1” target=”out”>Restless Natives website.

A new seven-day festival taking place across the east-end of Glasgow from May 9-15, Restless Natives will feature live music from, amongst others, Ghostface Killah, Tim Hecker and Rollo Tomasi, as well as film screenings, live comedy and various independent ventures. Organisers will be donating a portion of gate receipts to specially nominated east-end charities. You can find more details here.
