The Horrors’ Tom Furse is set to release a solo EP next week, entitled Child Of A Shooting Star though Lo Recordings, and above you can have a listen of a track taken from that EP.

’The Ocean Is Teacher’ sees Furse taking a step away from the psyche gloom of The Horrors to produce a more introspective, less vocal cut carried along by a light kick drum and dazzling chords. It is one of four tracks featured on the new EP which is out next Friday (August 21). Curse is also due to release a library compilation that he has curated, entitled Tom Furse Digs, using music from the Southern Library Of Recorded Music, a little known music library. There will be a launch party for that on August 20 at Brilliant Corners in Dalston featuring DJ sets from Friendly Fires’ Ed Macfarlane, Jon Tye of Lo Recordings and Tom himself.
