LISTEN: Stream Obake’s New LP In Full

Full play before release of second album, Mutations, next week

The last time the Quietus saw Obake, genre-crushing titans that they are, it was in a 19th-century brewery in Wrocław, Poland, with tQ’s metal doyen Toby Cook comparing their sonic force to a "soul-peeling back draft". Now, with similar anima-chafing potency, they return with their second album, Mutations. The album, recorded by the Italian-Hungarian four-piece in Budapest, is their first with new bassist Colin Edwin, following 2011’s self-titled debut, and it’s out next Monday, October 27, via Rare Noise Records. The label have kindly given us a first play of the album in full, so avail yourself of that below, and take a look at the dates for four shows the band are playing later in the year following:

DECEMBER

Fri 12 – KuFa, Kufstein, Austria

Sun 14 – Stadtwerkstatt, Linz, Austria

Mon 15 – Arena, Vienna, Austria

Wed 17 – KSET, Zagreb, Croatia
