Gum Takes Tooth & Baron For White Hills

Support acts announced for Quietus-sponsored set at Cargo in April

As we previously announced, we’re putting our name to ace psychedelic glam group White Hills’ forthcoming European tour, and will be making their London stop – at Cargo on April 17 – something of a psych bonanza, adding Gum Takes Tooth and Baron to the bill. Get hold of tickets for the gig via Ticketweb and Wegottickets.

A duo comprising drummer Thomas Fuglesang and electronics-manipulator Jussi Brightmore, Gum Takes Tooth forge an impressive tumult through linking up their hyper-kinetic drums to home-made technology, resulting in the entirely unhinged and brilliant sounds you’ll hear on their debut album, 2011’s Silent Cenotaph – stream it in full below:

Baron comprise members of fellow prog exponents Diagonal and trade in spacious Talk Talk-esque sonics, though amply matching these to some cosmic synth – see above for a visual representation – culminating in something akin to "Morton Harkett fronting a Nightside King Crimson", as our review today says.
