Sunn O))), Boris and Earth On New Jarmusch Soundtrack

Doom to feature heavily on Jarmusch's new film _The Limits of Control_

Underground film icon Jim Jarmusch’s new film The Limits of Control is to feature a predominantly drone metal soundtrack including tracks by Sunn O))), Boris and Earth. This seeming fondness for the droning genre was hinted at by the inclusion of Sleep on the Broken Flowers soundtrack.

Music has always played an important part in Jarmusch’s work, often casting musicians such as Tom Waits, The White Stripes and the Wu-Tang’s RZA and Genius in his films. Dead Man featured an original soundtrack by Neil Young and Ghost Dog featured an innovative RZA score, way before Tarantino used him for Kill Bill. Mulatu Astatke’s work set the tone for most of Broken Flowers.

The film, which is set in Spain, will also feature flamenco guitar tracks and Jarmusch’s own band Bad Rabbit also contribute to the proceedings.

The Limits of Control comes to UK cinemas in June.
