Edwyn Collins’ British Birdlife: Picture Gallery And Interview

The Quietus presents an exclusive gallery of Edwyn Collins' bird drawings

As part of his recovery and rehabilitation from his double aneurysm in 2005 Edwyn Collins decided to draw a different British bird every day.

These simple images, drawn in pen, have been collected for an exhibition called Edwyn Collins: British Birdlife, which runs between October 22nd and November 1st at the Smithfield Gallery in Farringdon.

Edwyn Collins was kind enough to answer some questions about his bird drawings, which you can see accompanying a gallery of some of the pictures that will appear in the exhibition.
